But what police expected to be a life-saving mission turned into a deadly confrontation caught on bodycam, as a 17-year-old suspect who faked the call suddenly ambushed an officer with a knife.<\/p>\n

The shocking incident took place just after 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday evening in\u00a0Harris County, Texas<\/strong>, when dispatchers received a frantic call from a young male claiming he had just \u201ckilled someone\u201d and was \u201ccovered in blood.\u201d The caller refused to give his name but provided an address in a residential area on Willow Ridge Drive. The tone of the call was calm but eerie \u2014 and officers believed they were dealing with a possible homicide suspect waiting to surrender.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez<\/strong>, multiple patrol units were dispatched to the scene. \u201cWhen we receive a call of that nature, our top priority is securing the area and ensuring no one else is in danger,\u201d Gonzalez said at a press briefing. \u201cBut this one was unlike anything we\u2019ve seen.\u201d<\/p>\n
